Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table has been reduced to four points following a dramatic 3–2 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday evening.
The Gunners went into the clash aware that key title rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa had already secured victories earlier in the weekend. City recorded a 2–0 home win over Wolves, while Villa claimed a similar scoreline away at Newcastle United.
Arsenal opened the scoring in the first half through a Lisandro Martinez own goal.

However, Bryan Mbeumo capitalised on a defensive error to level the match for United before the break.
Patrick Dorgu then put the visitors ahead with a stunning long-range strike in the second half. Although Mikel Merino restored parity late on for Arsenal, United had the final say as Matheus Cunha fired in the winning goal.
Despite the defeat, Mikel Arteta’s side remains top of the table with a four-point advantage, while Manchester United move up to fourth place following the victory.
