“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home. However, I am still an American, so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Chris Brown and I got an album coming next year,” he said.
The duo’s musical journey dates back to 2019 when they released the hit track Blow My Mind, a collaboration that earned global attention. Since then, both artists have worked together on several songs, strengthening their cross-continental appeal.
Hints of a full joint project have circulated for years, with Davido first teasing the idea in 2023. He also disclosed that both artists have a catalogue of unreleased tracks, further fueling anticipation ahead of the album’s official release.
