CAC Declares 15 Companies Illegal, Warns Nigerians Against Fake RC Numbers

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a stern public warning after uncovering the circulation and use of fake company names and registration numbers by unregistered entities across the country, raising fresh concerns about business fraud and investor safety.

The CAC stated that the alert became necessary after its attention was drawn to the widespread use of fictitious corporate identities by individuals and organisations seeking to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.
