APC Can’t Rig 2027 Election, We Know Their Tactics – Aregbesola

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, says the ruling party will be unable to influence the 2027 general elections, insisting he is familiar with their “tactics” and confident they will fail.

Aregbesola made the remarks on Tuesday in Osogbo during the unveiling of the ADC. The event coincided with the 15th anniversary of his inauguration as Osun State governor, an occasion he described as symbolic for the party and its supporters.

He said the ADC offers Nigerians a credible alternative capable of tackling insecurity, maladministration, poverty, hunger and the deterioration of governance across all levels.

“Today marks 15 years since we came into Osun State, and our government was sworn in at this very location. It was a Friday, but today is the day of victory,” he said. “God has shattered the present government, including the one at the centre.”

Ruling Party Can’t Rig Election

Aregbesola maintained that the ruling party would not be able to rig the upcoming polls. He urged supporters to mobilise voters, adding that the opposition is prepared for all eventualities.

“They cannot rig the election; we know their tactics. Go and take care of elderly women, dress them well, let them sit in groups at polling units on election day, and leave the rest to us,” he said.

He accused the current administration of failing in security, economic management and governance, saying its actions showed “selfishness” and lack of direction.

“By August next year, we will meet in Abere, and after August, we will take over the presidency,” he declared.

Aregbesola said the ADC continues to enjoy strong support across Osun, pointing to what he described as enduring achievements and legacies from his time in office.

“There is nowhere in Osun where the people do not resonate with what we represent. Our achievements and legacies speak for us. That is why we get this kind of reception anytime we come here, especially in Osogbo, the state capital,” he added.
