The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released an updated list of members of its convention committee and subcommittees ahead of its national convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the review was aimed at improving coordination and ensuring a smooth and credible exercise.
He noted that the updated list forms part of the party’s preparations for the convention and urged members of the committees to carry out their duties diligently, while calling on stakeholders to support the process.

The list, signed by the national organising secretary, Chinedu Idigo, confirmed the appointment of members of the convention planning committee.
“The ADC has approved the nomination of the following persons to serve on the convention planning committee for the national convention scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026,” the statement read.
According to the party, the national convention central coordination committee is chaired by former Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke, with former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, serving as deputy chairman.
The development comes amid ongoing leadership disputes within the party and a standoff with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC had earlier withdrawn recognition of the leadership led by David Mark pending the resolution of court cases, some of which are slated for hearing on the same day as the convention.
Despite the challenges, the party has maintained that it will go ahead with its congresses and national convention as part of efforts to reposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
