95 Princes, Princesses Indicate Interest in Awujale Stool

No fewer than 95 princes and princesses from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House have indicated interest in the stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland.

The development was disclosed by the Olori Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Mr Lateef Owoyemi, during the commencement of a nomination meeting held at the Bisi Rodipe Hall, GRA, Ijebu Ode.

Owoyemi, who is also known as Otunba Jadiara, said the meeting marked the formal beginning of the selection process within the ruling house.

Other leaders of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House present at the meeting included the Deputy Olori Ebi, Otunba Ajidagba, and the Chairman, Chief Fassy Yusuf, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Owoyemi said the names of aspirants who successfully scale the first stage of the process would be forwarded to the Afobajes.

He explained that the Afobajes would thereafter select one candidate as the next Awujale of Ijebuland and forward the name to the Ogun State Government for approval.

Owoyemi added that any individual dissatisfied with the outcome of the process was free to channel grievances to the state government through the appropriate channels.
