Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has been honoured with the Exemplary Patriotism and Transformational Leadership Award for his visionary governance and commitment to sustainable development.
Governor Namadi was among several eminent Nigerians recognised by the Parliament Diary Newspaper during its first Special Recognition Award ceremony held on Thursday at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The event highlighted Nigerians who have excelled in governance, public service, entrepreneurship, and humanitarian work.
Chief Lawrence Ayih (JP) Abaga Toni II, Paramount Ruler of Toni Chiefdom and Chairman of Kokona Local Government, Nasarawa State, was among the recipients awarded for his leadership contributions, bagging the Iconic Community Advocate of the Year.

While receiving the award, he thanked the organisers for deeming him worthy of the award, noting, “I believe God has a hand in this award,” and prayed for the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Chief Precious Chukwudi Enebuse, CEO of the Parliament Cable Network and Publisher of the Parliament Diary Newspaper, described the awards as a “significant milestone in promoting excellence, accountability, and progress in Nigeria.”
Launch of Weekly Print Edition and Parliament Diary Dialogue
Mr. Enebuse seized the moment to announce the launch of a weekly print edition of the Parliamentary Diary newspaper.
He also unveiled the Parliament Diary Dialogue, a platform for policymakers, leaders, and citizens to deliberate on national issues and seek sustainable solutions.

The publisher encouraged public support through sponsorships, subscriptions, and advertisements to strengthen the newspaper’s mission of legislative transparency and civic engagement. He said beginning from 2026, full-page coloured ads will cost ₦350,000, while black-and-white full-page ads will cost ₦300,000.
The newspaper boasts of reaching over 100,000 readers weekly, including legislators, governors, commissioners, and top corporate executives.

Enebuse emphasised the importance of constructive engagement between citizens and their elected representatives, stating, “Our newspaper stands as a bridge for informed engagement and transparency, which are essential for democratic governance and national unity.”
Law Enforcement and Public Service Honours
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Her Majesty Dr. Aishatu Abubakar, received the Trailblazing Leadership in Law Enforcement and Veterinary Advocacy Award.
She thanked the organisers, adding that the award motivates her to continue delivering exceptional service.

- Rt. Hon. Engr. Tafida Sadiq Abbas, Chairman, House Committee on Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion – Excellence in Leadership in Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Award
- Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Almustapha Aliyu, Chairman, House Committee on Alternative Education – Visionary Leadership in Alternative Education Award
- Rt. Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, Chairman, House Committee on NAFDAC – Dedicated Legislative Oversight and Public Health Advocacy Award
- Dr. Obasi David Ukoha, PhD, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Legislative Budget and Planning, National Assembly – Distinguished Public Service and Strategic Leadership Award
- Engr. Bashir Aminu Yero, FNSE, Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly – Leadership Excellence in Public Service Award
