Erigga Speaks Against Polygamy, says it Hurts Women, Children

Nigerian rapper Erigga has spoken candidly about the negative effects of polygamy, saying the practice often harms women and children more than men.

In an interview, Erigga shared that his perspective comes from personal experience growing up in a polygamous home.

“I am trying not to be like my father. I don’t like polygamy; one person gets hurt, which is the woman.

There’s never a polygamous situation where the man gets hurt; it’s always the woman and the kids,” he said.

The rapper advised men to avoid the emotional and social complexities of polygamy, arguing that monogamy offers a more stable and fulfilling family life.
