Actress Regina Daniels’ close friend, Ann, has been released after spending two nights in detention in connection with an alleged $40,000 theft.
Ann regained her freedom on Wednesday evening after the case was adjourned to March 5, 2026. The development was confirmed by Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy Daniels, who shared updates on his Instagram story.

Before her release, Sammy revealed that Ann was taken to court without access to her legal representative. He wrote:
“Similar techniques. Not letting the legal representative or family aware of the whereabouts. Not allowing anyone to know the court, the final stage of prison. Case adjourned until March 5th.”
Hours later, he announced her release, posting: “My T.E.D. Ann is out.”
Ann was initially arrested in Lagos on Monday and reportedly flown to Abuja in a private jet following theft allegations made by Regina Daniels’ estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The accusation came two months after Regina Daniels separated from the senator, citing alleged domestic violence.
The case remains pending, with the next court hearing scheduled for March 5, 2026.
