Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa (retd.), on Friday declared that he is exiting military service with pride, honour, and a clear conscience after decades of service to Nigeria.
Speaking during his Pulling Out Parade in Abuja, Musa said he gave his “all” to the defence of the nation and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the highest level of the Armed Forces.
“As I formally retire my uniform, I am leaving the stage with pride and a clear conscience, having given my all in service to Nigeria,” he stated. “I may be retiring from active service today, but I will never retire from my love for Nigeria.

I remain a soldier at heart and a patriot committed to the Constitution and sovereignty of our great nation.”
He thanked Nigerians, especially young citizens, for their faith, support and prayers for a safer and more peaceful Nigeria, and commended the media for its contribution to national development.
The retired military chief also expressed gratitude to God for sustained protection throughout his career.

Musa assured that though he has stepped down from active duty, he remains committed to serving the country in other capacities.
