Police Arrest Kidnap Kingpins, Recover Rifles, N7.4m Cash

The FCT Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnap kingpins and recovered ₦7.4 million alongside rifles and ammunition in a major counter-kidnapping operation.

The breakthrough followed the abduction of Abuja-based lawyer, Barrister Henry Chichi, from his Karu home on August 16. Police pressure forced the kidnappers to release him safely the next day.

The suspects, identified as Masud Abdullahi and Muhammad Tahir, were intercepted along the Guraku axis of the Nasarawa–FCT Highway after their getaway car lost control. A third accomplice, Kabiru Jibril (22), was later arrested at the gang’s Karshi Forest hideout.
