Nation-building Demands Integrity, Patriotism – Defence Minister Charges Graduates

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd), has urged Nigerians to embrace integrity, accountability, and commitment as key pillars of nation-building.

He said Nigeria can only progress when citizens apply their skills with strong moral values. He made this call at the graduation ceremony of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) in Kaduna.

Represented by Permanent Secretary Richard Pheelangwah, Musa congratulated the 3,003 graduates and challenged them to embrace patriotism, innovation, and excellence.

He stressed that the graduates now carry a greater responsibility. According to him, they must use their knowledge to tackle Nigeria’s pressing challenges.

“Nation-building requires integrity and commitment from all citizens,” he said. “You are leaving as custodians of national responsibility, not just certificate holders.”
