The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday arraigned former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai over allegations that he accessed a telephone conversation involving National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
El-Rufai is being prosecuted on a five-count amended charge before the Federal High Court in Abuja. At the start of proceedings, the prosecution informed the court that the original three-count charge had been amended to five counts, prompting the presiding judge, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, to strike out the earlier charge.
The former governor pleaded not guilty to all five counts.
