CP FCT Receives NBA Delegation, Assures Justice in Ms. Ochigbo Killing

 The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, on Friday received a delegation from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) at the Command Headquarters, Abuja.

The visit was part of an advocacy initiative by the Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), the NBA Women Forum, and Unity Bar, following the tragic killing of their colleague, Ms. Princess Ochigbo.

Ms. Ochigbo’s lifeless body was discovered along the Kubwa Expressway, sparking widespread concern among legal practitioners and residents alike. During the meeting, the NBA delegation formally conveyed their deep institutional concern over the incident.

In response, CP Dantawaye commiserated with the delegation and reassured them that the FCT Police Command has launched an extensive and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

He affirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators are identified, apprehended, and brought to justice.

The Commissioner also urged FCT residents to remain vigilant, particularly when boarding commercial vehicles. He advised the public, especially women, to exercise caution and avoid accepting free rides from strangers.

CP Dantawaye emphasized that public cooperation, timely information sharing, and collective responsibility are critical in preventing and dismantling “one-chance” criminal operations in the Territory.
