Jaiz Bank Appoints Omolara Ismail as Executive Director

Jaiz Bank Plc has appointed Omolara Muinat Ismail as Executive Director, strengthening its leadership team as the bank continues its growth strategy.

The appointment, which took effect on February 28, 2026, was approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the bank said in a statement issued on Monday and signed by its Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, Mohammed Shehu.

“The Bank hereby announces the appointment of Omolara Muinat Ismail as Executive Director, effective February 28, 2026. The appointment has been duly approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria,” Jaiz Bank stated.

The bank added that the development is in line with the rules of the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Ismail brings more than 25 years of experience spanning retail, commercial and corporate banking.

Her career includes senior management and board-level roles at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, where she also served as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board Credit Committee of the bank’s subsidiary in The Gambia.

A Chartered Banker, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the National Institute of Credit Administration.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ilorin and Bangor University in the United Kingdom, and has completed several executive programmes at international institutions.

Before her appointment, Ismail served as General Manager, Business Development, and Head of the Lagos and South Directorate at Jaiz Bank, where she oversaw regional expansion, product innovation and digital banking initiatives.
