AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Intensify Preparations After Egypt Friendly Loss

The Super Eagles of Nigeria resumed training on Wednesday morning following their 2–1 friendly defeat to Egypt at the Cairo International Stadium.

The team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed that the players will hold another training session in the evening to fine-tune preparations ahead of the AFCON 2025 tournament.

Currently, 26 players are lodged at the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo, while Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon are expected to join the squad in Morocco.

The team will depart Cairo for Fez, Morocco, on Thursday aboard a chartered aircraft as they continue their build-up for the continental tournament.
