The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the first phase of the physical continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise in Yobe State will end on December 10.
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Damaturu.
He said the preliminary register of voters will be displayed for claims and objections from December 15 to December 21.
The window, he explained, will allow registrants to correct errors in their biodata, including names, wards and National Identification Numbers.
According to him, December 21 has been set aside to address complaints arising from the claims and objections.

Abdullahi added that the second phase of the in-person CVR exercise will begin on January 5, 2026.
He recalled that the continuous voter registration commenced on August 18 with online registration, followed by the physical exercise on August 25.
The REC stressed that voter registration and the production of an accurate voter register remain fundamental components of the country’s electoral process.
He noted that Section 10 of the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended) mandates INEC to conduct voter registration on a continuous basis.
