Rivers Crisis: Tinubu Won’t Sacrifice Wike for Fubara – Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has said President Bola Tinubu will not sacrifice the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amid the lingering political crisis in the state.

Fayose made the remark on Tuesday while speaking on ARISE News, where he argued that those involved in the Rivers political dispute must show humility and seek peace to resolve the impasse.

According to him, anyone who refuses to humble himself and pursue reconciliation would continue to “run helter-skelter,” insisting that the solution to the crisis lies with the parties involved.

“He needs help. When you don’t praise God and you refuse to humble yourself and look for peace, you will just be running helter-skelter. What he is looking for is inside his pocket,” Fayose said.

Addressing Nigerians, the former governor stressed that, based on his understanding of President Tinubu, the President would not abandon Wike in favour of Fubara.

“Let me say this to Nigerians: the President that I know will not get rid of a Wike for a Fubara,” he added.

The political crisis in Rivers State has continued to generate reactions from political leaders and stakeholders, with calls for reconciliation and restraint as tensions persist.
