The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary, which was earlier scheduled for February 24, 2026.
Both chambers had adjourned sittings for two weeks to allow committees to conduct the 2026 budget defence sessions for ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), as well as government parastatals.
In a notice issued on Monday, Kamoru Ogunlana, clerk to the National Assembly, said the postponement would enable committees to conclude the ongoing budget defence sessions.
“This postponement is to enable Committees of the Assembly to conclude ongoing budget defence sessions,” the notice said.
