Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja, hours after his meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
The meeting was part of Adeleke’s consultations following his victory in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
A photograph of the meeting shared by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, showed Adeleke and the minister shaking hands while holding the governor’s certificate of return.

The meeting came shortly after Adeleke visited Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, where he presented his certificate of return and expressed appreciation for what he described as the President’s support for the democratic process.
Adeleke contested the election on the platform of the Accord Party and was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission with 511,067 votes.
He defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
Speaking after his meeting with the President, Adeleke said his visit was mainly to thank Tinubu for allowing the election to take place without interference.
The governor described Tinubu as the “father of the nation” and credited him with respecting the democratic process.
