Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has broken another global record, becoming the African artist with the most entries on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, titled “WGFT” from the rapper’s new album The Last Wun, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100, bringing Burna Boy’s total to seven career entries.
The ‘Last Last’ crooner is also the first African artiste to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years (2021–2025).
Burna Boy first appeared on the chart in 2021 with “Loved By You” alongside Canadian pop star Justin Bieber before making his solo breakthrough in 2022 with “Last Last”, which peaked at number 44.
