NSCDC Deploys 53,500 Operatives Nationwide Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is deploying over 53,500 personnel across the country to ensure a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Audi, has announced.

According to the Corps’ Public Relations Officer, Babawale Afolabi, the deployment includes tactical and intelligence officers in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The personnel will safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure (CNAI) and provide security at public spaces.

“State Commandants, Zonal Commanders, and College Provosts must ensure adequate coverage in their areas,” Afolabi said. Officers will monitor flashpoints such as shopping malls, mosques, churches, motor parks, recreational centers, and Eid prayer grounds.
