The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has launched a new digital tax administration platform, Rev360, as part of efforts to identify tax evaders.
It is also to enable it to strengthen compliance and modernise revenue collection across the country.
Speaking at the unveiling in Abuja on Wednesday, the Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, described Rev360 as a transformational platform that will drive the agency’s transition to a more technology-driven tax administration system.
According to him, the platform is designed to improve service delivery, strengthen compliance management, enhance transparency, and simplify interactions between taxpayers and the tax authority.
“The launch has reinforced the Nigeria Revenue Service’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement as it advances its vision of building a modern revenue administration system that is efficient, transparent, data-driven, and responsive to the needs of taxpayers and the Nigerian economy,” Adedeji said.
Pinnacle Daily reports that the platform comes as the government intensifies efforts to improve tax compliance, widen the tax net and boost non-oil revenue through technology-enabled systems.
On his part, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, said efficient digital tax administration has become critical to building transparent and business-friendly economies.
