Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has opened up about a painful personal experience, revealing how love can sometimes end in regret.
In a recent livestream with TikToker Sandra Benede, Sabinus described love as cruel and empathised with fellow content creator Peller, who recently faced a public breakup and a car accident following heartbreak.
Sabinus recounted how he once gifted a Range Rover to a former lover out of love, only for the relationship to end shortly afterward.

He said the experience left him regretting the expensive gesture and urged Nigerians to show compassion for Peller’s situation.
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl a Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus said.

The comedian also confirmed that his marriage to his wife and mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, ended in December 2025. The couple had married privately in 2023, and their union lasted just over a year.
