Key leaders of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) met in Abuja on Thursday as part of renewed efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC, which has been vocal in its criticism of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is intensifying internal consultations to present itself as a credible alternative in the next electoral cycle.
Among those at the high-profile meeting were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, former Minister of Communications Isa Pantami, former Senate President David Mark, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, a close ally of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
