Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah has advised Super Eagles gaffer Eric Chelle to sharpen his attacking line after Sudan’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Nigeria’s home-based team in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) clash on Tuesday.
Appiah’s side dominated the encounter, with Abdel Raouf netting twice, Walieldin Khedr adding another, and Leonard Ngenge scoring an own goal.
The result sent Nigeria crashing out of the competition and placed Sudan at the top of Group D with four points from two matches.
Speaking after the game, Appiah noted that while Nigeria’s first match against Senegal was “not that bad”, the team needed better attacking efficiency.
“The coach only needs to do some polishing with the attack,” he said. “In the second game, they had stints of possession, but our approach helped us.”
