Abia State Governor Alex Otti says the controversy surrounding the conviction and push for the release of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will be settled through administrative processes.

Otti gave the assurance after visiting Kanu at the Sokoto Correctional Centre over the weekend. The governor said engagements he initiated shortly after assuming office in 2023 had been intensified to secure Kanu’s freedom.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti said he held productive discussions with the detained IPOB leader.
