Dangiwa, Belgore Lead Federal Housing Delegation to Wedding Ceremonies of Minister Ata’s Sons in Kano

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, on Saturday led a high-level federal delegation to Kano State for the wedding fātiha ceremonies of the sons of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.

According to a press statement signed by Badamasi Haiba, Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, and made available to Pinnacle Daily, the ceremonies were held separately for the grooms – Bilal Yusuf Abdullahi Ata in Ragge and Khalid Abdullahi Ata in Panshekara.

The event drew senior government officials, political leaders, and prominent stakeholders from within and outside Kano metropolis.

The Minister was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Shuaib Belgore, alongside the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Shehu Usman Osiris, senior directors of the Ministry, and the Chief Consultant for the Renewed Hope Cities Housing Projects, Arc. Damola Olarinde.

Also present were former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Bappa Bichi, community leaders, and other dignitaries, who joined family members and well-wishers in celebrating the union of the two couples.

The Ministry described the presence of its top officials at the ceremonies as a reflection of institutional cohesion, mutual respect, and collegiality within the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Beyond the formal rites, the occasion also served as a platform for informal engagement among federal and state officials, as well as private sector partners involved in ongoing housing initiatives.

The wedding fātiha ceremonies were conducted in line with Islamic traditions, with prayers offered by Islamic clerics for marital bliss, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence for the newlyweds.

A reception followed at the Kano Hilltop Palace Hotel, where guests were hosted in honour of the couples amid celebrations attended by family, friends, and associates.
