The Federal High Court in Kaduna has granted bail to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in the sum of ₦200 million in a corruption case filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Justice Rilwanu Aikawa ruled on Tuesday that the former governor must provide two sureties before he can be released from custody.
One of the sureties must be a serving or retired federal government official not below Grade Level 15, while the second must be a recognised traditional ruler. Both are required to submit their international passports to the court.
The court also barred El-Rufai from making public statements related to the case and ordered him to attend all court sessions without fail.
However, the judge directed that he remain in ICPC custody until all bail conditions are fully met.

El-Rufai is being prosecuted alongside Joel Adoga over allegations of corruption and money laundering.
The ICPC alleges that the former governor unlawfully received severance payments and financial transfers running into hundreds of millions of naira and foreign currency during and after his tenure as governor of Kaduna State.
The agency claims the payments far exceeded his lawful entitlements and were proceeds of corruption.
El-Rufai has denied all charges.
He has also been facing other related investigations and separate legal proceedings linked to alleged financial misconduct during his time in office from 2015 to 2023.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing as legal proceedings continue.
